Aside from some or all of the content you might offer publicly on your cam site, there are dozens of ways you can earn some money on the side, or even a full time income! I’ll be blunt here – sex sells.  There are several wildly successful non-nude sites out there (more on that later), but if you are looking at earning money, it can be a bit more challenging if you are not interested in getting nude or semi-nude on your cam/site.

Here are the most common pay services/content a camgirl can provide:

Private shows

If you’re looking to make the most money in the shortest time, this is probably the way to go.  Private shows are one-on-one shows of a sexual nature that you perform for a paying customer.  They are usually sold at a per-minute rate, or in blocks of minutes.  Sometimes camgirls will charge more for audio or “cam2cam” (where the viewer broadcasts his cam to you as well).  You may do these over an instant messaging program, or a cam network, or on your own site.

Selling pic sets/videos

You can do this by taking photos, webcam pics, or videos, and then selling them (alone or in sets, sometimes called “zips”) for a set price or gift item.  The customer pays for the items they want and then can download them.  These can also be done “custom,” where the customer requests a particular activity or outfit in advance.

Selling physical items

Some camgirls sell worn clothing or fetish items online, such as panties or stockings.  You can also sell CD/DVDs of videos or pictures.

Phone sessions

Much like a private show, except over the phone.

Encouraging tips/gifts

The slightly more subtle approach – gently suggesting that you need money for something, perhaps offering a way for visitors to “sponsor” certain bills of yours, or offering “bonuses” (images, shows, etc.) in exchange for tips.

Membership site

This means creating a site or section of your site where visitors must pay for access to content.  You then offer “premium” features within the pay sections, such as additional cams, videos, photos, shows, etc.

Affiliate programs

Instead of earning money for your own content, you can earn money for advertising others’ content!  Affiliate (or referral) programs are systems in which you sign up and put links to another site on your site with a special tracking code.  When visitors click and then sign up or make a purchase, you get a percentage of the sale.
