Quite possibly, no. If you honestly cannot bear the thought of people you know in real life (family, employer, classmates, etc.) finding out about your camming, DON’T DO IT. Odds are, someone will find out at some point. Just had to get that out of the way up front.
If you want an easy way to earn good money independently at home and are comfortable with your body, doing cam shows might be a great job for you. If the thought of sharing your life with the world excites you, a personal/cam site might be a really fun hobby and way to meet new people. If you’ve got a great personality, interesting attributes, and are dedicated to creating content regularly, open a membership site. If you have low self-esteem or lack of confidence in your appearance, this is probably NOT the career or hobby for you. Yes, you will likely get many compliments, but you will also be critiqued, insulted, and even hated. If a negative comment is going to ruin your day, this may not be a healthy thing for you. Honestly, camming has improved my self-image over the years. I used to be terribly camera shy, because I never thought I looked good in photos. I didn’t see in pictures what I saw in the mirror. Being in front of the camera has taught me how to take more flattering photos. But at the same time, I never let the insults get to me and made sure I always felt good about myself at the end of the day. If you’re creeped out by people making graphic, detailed, and often unusual comments or requests, this also isn’t the path for you. They will happen. A lot. You will get sent photos of random penises, be requested to mail dirty socks, and have men describing intimate scenarios with you. If you want to do it yourself and earn money, you will need to read, be willing to learn about people, promotion, and technology, and work hard. Being a camgirl is a short “career” for the vast majority of people. |
